Kayla Gervais has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2006 when they were a Facilitator at Morehead State University. In this role, they provided technical support to faculty and operated classroom cameras. In 2008, they began working as a Sales Support Representative at AT&T, where they provided assistance with technical issues and product questions in a Corporate store. In 2015, they became the Owner of The Neon Cauldron, where they were responsible for production, packaging, and shipping of products to customers worldwide, as well as business marketing, web development, and customer service/technical support. In 2020, they began working at PNC as a Customer Support Specialist, providing customer support and performing account maintenance. Finally, in 2022, they began working at Descript as a Technical Support Representative and Customer Support Representative.

Kayla Gervais has a diverse educational background. Kayla is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology - Application Development Track at Missouri State University, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2023. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate of Science in Informatics from Ivy Tech Community College in 2020 and a Certificate in Web Foundation from the same institution.
