Emily Morris

Informal Science Education Coordinator at Desert Botanical Garden

Emily Morris has extensive experience in informal science education, currently serving as the Informal Science Education Coordinator at Desert Botanical Garden since February 2012. In this role, Emily manages a diverse range of children's educational programs, develops curriculum for ages 0 to 18, and trains staff and volunteers to enhance family connections to nature. Previous experience includes work as a Teacher/Naturalist at Audubon, where Emily managed children’s education programs and developed environmental education curricula for urban youth. Additional research roles at Point Reyes Bird Observatory, Archbold Biological Station, and Rocky Mountain Biological Lab focused on ecological surveys and plant interactions. Emily holds a Master of Science in Environmental Education and Interpretation from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Art History from Vassar College.
