Shaddy Alshraah, PhD has a long history of work experience in the field of soil science and environmental management. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Soil Researcher at Jordan University of Science and Technology. In 2007, they were a Soil Scientist at The National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension (NCARE). From 2008 to 2013, they were the Chief, Division of Water and Irrigation and Drainage at Al-Albayt University, where they planned, designed, and oversaw the construction of a drip irrigation system for nearly 35,000 olive trees on campus. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Greenhouse Assistant at Young's Plant Farm. During this time, from 2016 to 2021, they were a Project Manager at North Carolina State University, where they managed a 3 year research project across North Carolina on stormwater infiltration within the roadsides environment. Finally, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as an Environmental Specialist and Soil Scientist / Agronomist at Shatec Engineering Consultants, where they analyzed and evaluated soil reports and tests for roadside areas maintenance, reviewed erosion & sediment control compliance plans for private entities, and provided technical support including site characterization, restoration designs to projects/transportation in multi phases of work.

Shaddy Alshraah, PhD has a comprehensive educational background. Shaddy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Soil, Water, and Environment from Jordan University of Science and Technology between 2001 and 2005. Shaddy then went on to earn a Master's degree in Integrated Natural Resources Management from the same institution between 2010 and 2013. After that, they received a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Tuskegee University between 2014 and 2016. Shaddy concluded their academic career with a Doctor of Philosophy in Soil Science from North Carolina State University between 2016 and 2020. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained two Level 1 certifications from the North Carolina Department of Transportation in 2021, and a Level 2 certification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation/North Carolina State University in 2021.
