Tim Minor

Tim Minor is a retired Hourly Research Scientist, GIS/Remote Sensing, Emeritus Scholar from Desert Research Institute. Tim has a Master's Degree in Geography from UC Santa Barbara and has a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Nevada, Reno. Tim has a background in geology, biology, computer cartography, image processing, thermal imaging, and GIS. Their work involves top-down exploration and modeling efforts using GIS and remote sensing in various environmental studies. Tim also served as an Interim Executive Division Director at DRI, managing research activities, program development, personnel, and budgetary management. Tim's expertise lies in GIS databases design, remote sensing application in terrestrial monitoring, and the development of image processing algorithms.
