Dimitrios Kontos has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to the present. Dimitrios has held various roles in different companies.

From 1998 to 1999, Dimitrios worked as a Real Estate Agent at "KTIMATOEPENDITIKI" Real Estate Agent, where they were responsible for renting, buying, and selling properties for clients. Dimitrios also managed and developed a residential real estate portfolio.

In 1999, Dimitrios briefly worked as a Catering Assistant at "\"REES HALL\"" B&B, where they controlled receipts, ensured cleanliness and hygiene in the dining and kitchen area, and trained new entrants.

From 2002 to 2007, Dimitrios was part of the Contracts Department at DEPA S.A., where they managed the tender process for projects, supplies, and services. Dimitrios ensured compliance of the tender procedure with regulations and publications of tenders.

Since 2007, Dimitrios has been working at DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator. Dimitrios started as a Technical Procurement & Contracts Specialist and later served as a Tenders & Procurement Specialist and Tenders & Project Contracts Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Works & Services Procurement Section. In these roles, they have been responsible for coordinating and managing procurement procedures for service contracts/purchase orders, applying strategies and guidelines, ensuring business continuity, and conducting and monitoring tenders while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Dimitrios Kontos completed a Master's Degree in Financial Decision Analysis from the University of Portsmouth from 1998 to 2000. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Piraeus from 1993 to 1997.
