Aaron Young

Head of HR and People at Design Therapeutics

Aaron Young has 10 years of work experience in human resources. Aaron began their career in 2004 as an Outside Sales and Recruitment at Apple Computers Inc. In 2006, they moved to Lehman Brothers, SBF as a Recruitment. The following year, they became a Sourcing Consultant at The Platt Network. In 2008, they were an HR Generalist/Staffing at American Sporting Goods (a Brown Shoe's company). In 2010, they were a HR Business Analyst at Printronix. In 2013, they were promoted to Talent Acquisition Manager at MSC Software. Three years later, they were appointed as Head of Human Resources at MSC Software. In 2021, they became Director, HR Strategic Planning & Performance at Blue Shield of California. Currently, they are the Head of HR and People at Design Therapeutics.

Aaron Young attended UC Irvine from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Aaron returned to UC Irvine in 2008 to earn a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, earning an MBA in Dispute Resolution. Aaron also earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law in 2010-2012. Finally, from 2014 to 2017, they attended Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where they earned a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership (EdD).
