Baram Kim

Baram (Ramy) Kim is a project manager at Designing Justice + Designing Spaces, where leadership is provided for initiatives addressing the root causes of mass incarceration through community-focused design collaboration in Los Angeles County. Previous experience includes a role in strategy at Open Insulin, focusing on public health and global collaboration, and serving as president of Counter Culture Labs, a community bio lab promoting open science. Baram's consulting background includes environmental health consultancy with an emphasis on Environmental Justice, along with significant engagement in civic projects with organizations like Code for America and Open Architecture Collaborative. Baram holds a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health and a Master of Arts in Medical Clinical Sciences from Boston University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Barnard College.
