James Corney

James Corney has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. James is currently the Group Chief Operating Officer at DesignStudio, a position they have held since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at DesignStudio from an unspecified date in 2020 until May 2021. Before joining DesignStudio, James held various positions at different companies. James was the Group Finance Director for Secure Data Europe at Orange Cyberdefense from October 2015 to March 2017. James also served as the Group Finance Director at giant group from January 2015 to October 2015. Additionally, they worked as the Group Finance Director at Native Design from December 2011 to December 2014. James started their career at Hemming Group as a Management and Systems Accountant from April 2008 to January 2012. Before that, they worked as a Product Controller at Barclays Capital plc from September 2007 to March 2008. Their earliest role was as an Audit Senior at BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, where they worked from September 2004 to September 2007.

James Corney completed their education at various institutions. From 1993 to 2001, they attended St Olaves Grammar School, where they focused on Economics, achieving an A grade, along with an A in Maths and a B in History. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics (Bsc (Hons)) at York University from 2001 to 2004. After their formal education, in September 2007, James Corney obtained a certification from ICAEW, becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA, ICAEW).
