Robert Chartrand

Robert Chartrand offers over 39 years of combined structural engineering and design project management experience in a broad range of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential structures, for both new construction and major structural renovations. He specializes in structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures. His strengths include developing cost-effective structural designs, identifying and developing practical solutions to structural problems, and coordinating structural designs with other disciplines. Other experience includes providing independent structural engineering reviews and performing structural evaluations of existing buildings.

His recent projects include 200 Exchange Street in Malden, MA, a repositioning of an existing 4-story building into retail and office use; 4 Maguire Road in Lexington, MA, a repositioning of a 2-story building into laboratory use: multiple projects for Ginkgo Bioworks in Boston, MA, including installation of new HVAC systems; and a 10 building structural façade review for Brown University in Providence, RI.

Mr. Chartrand earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
