Arvind Nerurkar

VP, Managing Principal, Structural Engineering at Coffman Engineers

Arvind is the managing principal of the Seattle office, a structural engineer, and a member of the board of directors. Arvind started his career in the Spokane office, worked in the Anchorage office, and helped to establish the Los Angeles office. He has been in Seattle for many years and now considers it home. He looks forward to providing leadership toward the goals of outstanding customer service and professional, high quality, multidiscipline consulting services.

Arvind served in the U.S. Navy for six years before receiving his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Gonzaga University. He is a licensed structural engineer with registrations in 33 states. His vast experience of structural analysis and design includes airport terminals, educational, medical facilities, commercial, and residential buildings.

Arvind’s experience covers a broad area of seismic projects consisting of new construction, performance based design, seismic evaluation, analysis and design of seismic rehabilitation, and project management. Arvind is responsible for implementing the seismic rehabilitation program with Nordstrom who has been a client for several decades.

Arvind is affiliated with the American Institute of Steel Construction, Structural Engineer Association of Washington, and Applied Technology Council. Philanthropy is also important to Arvind as he donates his time to several non profit organizations including as Architects Without Borders.
