Adam McWhirter

Adam McWhirter is an experienced professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as Underwriting Manager at Desjardins General Insurance Group since September 2014. In this role, Adam oversees Operational Underwriting teams and supports the Desjardins Agent Network across Canada. Previously, Adam was a Project Lead tasked with delivering the Operational Underwriting solution to State Farm associates post-acquisition. Prior to joining Desjardins, Adam held leadership positions at State Farm, including Personal Lines Underwriting Manager and Financial Services Manager. Adam's educational background includes a Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada, a Fellow (FLMI) designation from the Life Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Business Economics from Brock University.
