Benjamin R. Lund

Director Applied Polymers Research at Desktop Metal

Benjamin R. Lund, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of polymers and materials research. From 2005 to 2010, they served as a Research/Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas. Benjamin R. then went on to work as a Research Scientist at the university from 2010 to 2014, during which they also took on the additional role of Lab Manager for the Dennis W. Smith Jr. research group, overseeing graduate and undergraduate research and organizing group meetings. In 2011, Lund became the UT Dallas Site Administrator for The Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems, a role they held until 2014. In 2015, they joined Adaptive 3D Technologies as the Vice President for Materials, and in 2023, they transitioned to a new role as the Director of Applied Polymers Research at Desktop Metal.

Benjamin R. Lund, Ph.D., pursued their education in the field of Chemistry at The University of Texas at Dallas. Benjamin R. dedicated their time from 2005 to 2010 to complete their doctoral degree, earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry.
