Leonardo Cesario

Leonardo Cesario is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in backend development and management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Despegar since June 2013, Leonardo's expertise includes Scala and Java, and has progressed through roles from Engineering Manager to Backend Senior Developer. In addition to industry experience, Leonardo has contributed to academia as a Professor at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and previously at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, alongside roles as a Teacher Assistant. Prior to these positions, Leonardo held various development roles, including Smalltalk Developer at Telecom and LAMP Developer at Netintek S.A. Leonardo holds a degree from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, completed in 2013.
