Tapio Salo

Tapio Salo is an experienced professional in the construction and energy sectors, currently serving as the Director of Energy Services at Destia Oy since October 2022, focusing on energy services, wind power, distribution networks, civil engineering, and substations. Prior to this, Tapio held various senior positions at YIT from January 2006 to May 2022, including Senior Vice President, where responsibilities included overseeing project development and management and leading the Tripla Project. Tapio’s earlier experience includes roles as Director of Construction and Real Estate Management at Pohjola Kiinteistösijoitus Oy and Project Manager at Kapiteeli Oy. Additionally, Tapio began a career at YIT in project management and site engineering starting in 1994. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Building Construction Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technologies from the Helsinki Institute of Technology.
