Monica Pain is an accomplished arts administrator and event specialist with extensive experience in the performing arts and commercial film production. Currently serving as an Event Specialist at Destination Markham Corporation since September 2023, Monica previously held significant roles including Director of Programming and Operations at York Region Arts Council and DMC Coordinator at Destination Markham Corporation. As President, Producer, and Coordinator at MONSTAR Productions Inc., Monica specializes in providing arts administration services to not-for-profit organizations and commercial film production houses in Toronto. With a strong background in event planning, community engagement, and dance education, Monica has made impactful contributions to various arts organizations, including Flato Markham Theatre and Ballet Creole. Monica holds a Performing Arts Diploma in Dance from Randolph College for the Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from York University.
