Rachael Hayes

Rachael Hayes has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and corporate affairs. Rachael is currently working as the Director of Corporate Affairs and Policy at Destination NSW since October 2021. Prior to this, Rachael worked at Sainsbury's as the PR and Corporate Affairs for Sainsbury's Group Property from January 2020 to June 2021. Rachael led strategic stakeholder and community relations activities as well as managed communications and public affairs for Sainsbury's property agenda. Rachael also took a career break in 2019 to travel throughout the UK and Europe. Before their career break, they worked at Destination NSW as the Director of Communications from September 2018 to April 2019. In this role, Rachael led the Ministerial and Corporate Communications team and was responsible for maintaining excellent communications channels and relationships with the government. Prior to that, they worked at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (NSW) as the Communications Director from April 2014 to September 2018.

Rachael Hayes has a Bachelor of Communications degree from Edith Cowan University and attended Kinross Wolaroi School. Rachael also attended the University of Technology Sydney.
