Michael Jenkins

Michael Jenkins is the current Middle School Director at DETROIT COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL. Prior to this, he was the Head of Middle School at The Episcopal School of Dallas from July 2014 to July 2018. Michael has also held positions as K-8 Director of Studies at Battle Ground Academy from July 2008 to June 2014, Teacher and Dean of Students at Austin Trinity Episcopal School from July 2004 to June 2008, and Dean of Students at Rye Country Day School from July 2002 to July 2004. Michael began his career in education as a teacher at Greenhill School, where he worked from August 1996 to July 2001.

Michael Jenkins graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Michael then went on to obtain their Master of Arts in Private School Leadership from Klingenstein Center at Teachers College, Columbia University.

His manager is Rich Dempsey, Head of School. Some of his coworkers include Dan MacLean - Executive Director of Athletics, and Jim Davis - Executive Director, Visual, Performing, & Communication Arts.
