Marlowe Alter

Marlowe Alter is a seasoned sports journalist with extensive experience at the Detroit Free Press since August 2014, serving as Sports Assistant Editor and Sports Web Editor, after starting as a Sports Web Editor Intern. Marlowe proposed and implemented the innovative "Film Reviews" series focused on the NFL, Detroit Lions, and draft prospects, offering in-depth analysis through multimedia integration. Prior experience includes covering high school sports for Princeton Town Topics and serving as a beat writer for Ohio University’s Bobcat Sports Showcase, covering both basketball and football. Marlowe holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School at Ohio University. Additional roles include a social media coordinator and sports intern positions, demonstrating a comprehensive background in sports reporting and analysis.
