Raul Echevarria

Raul Echevarria serves as the Director of Community Organizing and Advocacy at Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation since February 2023, previously holding roles including Program Manager at Michigan Community Resources and Network Facilitator/Director of Organizing at Southwest Organizing Network. Additionally, Raul has been an Adjunct Professor at University of Detroit Mercy since January 2020, teaching a social justice course and advising Capstone Project teams. Raul's background includes significant experience in community development, land use, and economic development, with earlier positions as Director of Programs at Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation and Deputy Director at Puerto Rican Cultural Center. Raul holds a Master of Divinity from Ecumenical Theological Seminary and an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School.
