Jessica Van Fleteren

Jessica Van Fleteren is the New Media Asset Manager at the Detroit Lions. Jessica has over five years of experience working in digital asset management and content strategy.

Van Fleteren began their career as a Photographer for National Geographic Explorer in 2016. In this role, they were responsible for taking photographs and videos of expeditions and events around the world. Jessica then became a Project Coordinator for Hyatt Hotels Corporation in 2017, where they managed website video assets and helped to coordinate digital projects.

In 2018, Van Fleteren was hired as a Content Strategist for MRM//McCann, where they worked on General Motors Owner Center. In this role, they were responsible for managing custom CMS updates and website video assets. Jessica also assisted in creation of AD-ID identifier to ensure the correct assets are delivered to our media partners.

In 2020, Van Fleteren became the Marketing Digital Asset Manager for Rock Central Marketing. In this role, they are responsible for archiving marketing assets, supporting legal audits of digital assets and materials, creating and updating metadata for marketing assets, enhancing processes for assets created by vendors or partners outside of the Rock Central Marketing team, running reports and providing performance marketing metrics.

Jessica Van Fleteren started their education at Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Documentary and Editorial Photography. Jessica then attended the Swahili Institute of Chicago to learn the Swahili language. After that, they completed a program in Post Conflict Transformation in Northern Uganda at the School for International Training. Finally, they finished their education at the College for Creative Studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Documentary Photography.

They are on a team with Dustyn Blindert - Senior New Media Producer, Lauren Harper - Social Media Manager, and Stuart Zaas - Director, Digital Media. Their manager is Todd Marcy, Senior Director, Digital Operations.
