Neil Larson

Production Manager at Detroit Lions

Neil Larson is a Senior New Media Producer at the Detroit Lions. Neil previously worked as a Post Production assistant at London Alley Entertainment from July 2013 to April 2014. There, they were responsible for transcoding for ProRes workflow, logging and lining up footage, condensing timelines, prepping for color/fx/beauty, compressing and uploading rough cuts for clientele/directors to view online, and delivering final products to clients (both through file transfers and physical mailed deliveries of backed up hard drives).

In cases where music videos need alternate edits (due to explicit content or client preference), Neil edited projects to replace or reconfigure sections of the editor's timeline to achieve a finalized product. Many of their contributions in this area have been broadcast on networks such as Disney Channel, MTV, VH1, BET, and Revolt.

In the pre-production phases, Neil assisted many directors with finding imagery that support their treatments as well as laying out their treatments in photoshop. In several cases, they even wrote treatments for directors that were sent to record labels. Several of these treatments were contracted and produced through the company.

Along with these duties, Neil also designed web imagery for our company website and newsletter as well as maintain media on the website.

Through their experience at London Alley Neil became familiar with RED Cine, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Compressor, DaVinci Resolve, Cyberduck, and WordPress.

Neil Larson attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & New Media.

Neil Larson works with Stuart Zaas - Director, Digital Media, Dannie Rogers - Team Reporter, and Dustyn Blindert - Senior New Media Producer. Their manager is Todd Marcy, Senior Director, Digital Operations.
