Jordyn Davis

Jordyn Davis is a multifaceted music professional, serving as the Founder, Songwriter, Bassist, and Vocalist for the singer/songwriter project Composetheway since its inception in November 2016, with the debut EP "Connections" released in April 2017. Currently, Davis contributes as a Teaching Artist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and a Jazz Leaders Fellow at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Past experiences include a role as Grant Programs Associate at Chamber Music America and a Mediator Coordinator at Science Gallery Detroit. Jordyn Davis holds both a Master of Music in Jazz Studies (2021) and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies & Music Composition (2019) from Michigan State University, where studies were completed from 2013 to 2021. Additionally, a brief role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at MSU College of Engineering occurred in the summer of 2014.
