Latoya Cross is the Communications & Advancement Content Specialist at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Latoya has also worked as a Producer for CultureShift at WDET 101.9 FM Detroit's NPR Station, a Freelance Communications Assistant at High Style Marketing, Inc., and as a Senior Editor - Entertainment & Culture at EBONY Magazine | EBONY Media Operations.

Cross has always been passionate about writing and communications. Latoya started their own freelance writing and communications business, Cross Consulting, in 2013. Latoya has since worked with a variety of clients, crafting compelling content and assisting with marketing strategy. In 2014, they began working as a Senior Editor for EBONY Magazine, where they oversaw the Entertainment & Culture section of both the print and digital editions of the magazine.

At the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Cross is responsible for researching, developing and writing content for the organization's website and social media platforms. Latoya also collaborates with hosts on live and pre-recorded segments, books guests, conducts interviews and helps to frame conversations for the show. In addition, they work on special projects like CultureShift's 'Because We Care' series and CultureShift D'Tour.

They are on a team with Francesca Leo - Public Relations Coordinator, Natalie Berger - Video Content Specialist, and Hannah Engwall - Public Relations Manager. Their manager is Matthew Carlson, Senior Director, Communications & Media Relations.
