Vivian Pickard

Trustee at Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Vivian Pickard is the current Trustee at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Vivian previously worked for General Motors from January 1998 to December 2015. During their time at General Motors, they were responsible for all of the company's US giving. Vivian also developed strategic plans for the Foundation and corporate giving, oversaw the annual budget of more than $60M, and managed cause-related marketing. Vivian was able to significantly expand donor bases and increase donation potential for the General Motors Foundation. Vivian also increased General Motors' "Share of Voice" in the automotive field to 58% of overall automotive media. Vivian served as a member of the General Motors Diversity Council and partnered with global business units as an advisor.

Vivian Pickard holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Services Administration from Ferris State University. Vivian also holds an Honorary Doctorate from Ferris State University.
