Giancarlo Altuna Marcial

Giancarlo Altuna Marcial has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Giancarlo started their career at Banco Wiese Sudameris as an Analyst Financial, where they were responsible for managing the Guarantee Fiduciary with Banco Sudamericano. Giancarlo also provided support to the General Accountant. Following this, they worked with MIQ Logistics for several years, first as a General Accountant and later as Regional Financial Controller. In these roles, they were responsible for financial statements preparation, tax declarations, internal and external audits, and compliance with financial procedures and IFRS.

In 2021, Giancarlo joined UE 37 Peru Seguro 2025 as a Financial Accounting Specialist, where they played a crucial role in the financial planning, tax supervision, disbursement justifications, and implementation of internal controls for a crime prevention project in Peru. The project was funded primarily by the IDB.

Currently, they hold the position of Head of Contract Management Chile & Peru at deugro, a global logistics company. Their responsibilities include overseeing contract management activities in both countries.

Throughout their career, Giancarlo Altuna Marcial has demonstrated expertise in financial management, accounting, tax compliance, and auditing.

From 2021 to 2021, Giancarlo attended the Escuela Nacional de Gestion Publica, where they pursued an Especializacion in Gestion Publica (Public Management).

In the same year, 2021, they also enrolled in the Escuela de Gestion Publica for an Especializacion in SIAF (sistema integrado de Administracion Financiera or Integrated Financial Administration System).

Between 2010 and 2012, Giancarlo attended the ESAN Graduate School Of Business, where they obtained a Maestría en Finanzas (Master's in Finance) with a specialization in Finanzas (Finance).

From 1991 to 1999, Giancarlo pursued their undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Lima, earning a degree in Contador Publico (Public Accountant).
