Mario Hess

Mario Hess has a strong background in logistics and supply chain management. Mario is currently the Global Head of Customer Solutions at deugro, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Senior Vice President of Oil & Gas Logistics at deugro from April 2021 to May 2022. Mario also served as the Vice President of Oil & Gas Logistics Operations at deugro from April 2019 to May 2021.

Before joining deugro, Mario worked at Kuehne + Nagel, where they held various positions. From January 2018 to April 2019, they were the Vice President of Global Key Accounts, Projects, Oil & Gas, and Marine Logistics. From May 2016 to December 2017, they served as the Vice President of Global Implementation & Tender Management, focused on projects, oil & gas, and marine logistics. Mario started their career at Kuehne + Nagel as a Branch Manager from May 2014 to May 2016.

Mario also has prior experience at Panalpina, where they worked from 2001 to 2014. During their time at Panalpina, Mario held various roles including Corporate Control Tower Manager from March 2012 to May 2014 and Area Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management from January 2009 to February 2012. Mario also served as a Business Implementation Manager and Customer Application Consultant from January 2008 to December 2008 and Group Logistics Manager from April 2001 to December 2007.

Mario's earlier experience at Panalpina includes roles as an Automotive Traffic Controller from 1999 to 2001 and Global Accounts Supervisor from 1997 to 1999.

Mario Hess attended the Cranfield School of Management in 2001, where they studied Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. From 1996 to 1998, Mario studied at the Walter-Eucken-Berufskolleg, earning a degree in SpeditionsKaufman in Logistics Freight Forwarding. Mario'seducation began at the Landfermann Gymnasium in 1985 and lasted until 1995, where they obtained their Abitur degree. During this time, Mario studied English, History, Mathematics, and Sport. In 2014, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
