Birthe Hühnken

Birthe Hühnken is a seasoned recruitment professional currently serving as the Leiterin Recruiting Fachkräfte Region Nord at Deutsche Bahn since January 2024, overseeing the recruiting team in northern Germany. Prior to this role, Birthe led the recruiting team at Hamburger Hochbahn AG from April 2023 to October 2023, where responsibilities included operational management and leadership of an 11-member team. At KPMG Deutschland, from July 2021 to March 2023, Birthe managed the Hochschulmarketing team and focused on enhancing a performance-oriented higher education marketing concept. Earlier experience includes a Senior Talent Acquisition role at PwC from June 2018 to June 2021, where Birthe managed the complete recruiting process and supported HR strategies. Birthe began a career in HR at Volkswagen AG and Lufthansa Technik AG, gaining valuable insights into recruitment practices. Birthe holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Management from Ostfalia University of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Laws in Business Law and Business Administration from Leuphana Universität Lüneburg.
