Joel Caldwell

Joel Caldwell is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Director of the Legal Department at Deutsche Bank since August 2025, Joel previously held the position of Head of Legal for the private credit business at Hum Capital from August 2021 to July 2025. Joel's background includes a tenure as Vice President & Counsel at Deutsche Bank, where responsibilities encompassed equity derivatives and compliance with regulations such as the Volcker Rule and Dodd-Frank Title VII. Prior experience includes a role in Morgan Stanley's Regulatory Affairs Group and an associate position at Ropes & Gray LLP.
