Gehad Hamdy

Gehad Hamdy is an accomplished photo editor and photographer with extensive experience in various media organizations. Since May 2017, Gehad has been with dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH, contributing significantly to the field. As a contributing photographer for Everyday Cairo since October 2013, Gehad also held leadership roles as Head of the Photography Department at Al Balagh Newspaper from 2016 to 2017 and at Face-Masr from 2014 to 2016. Prior experience includes photojournalism at El Fagr Newspaper between 2012 and 2014 and freelancing as a photojournalist from 2011 to 2012. Gehad holds a Bachelor of English Language and Literature from the Higher Institute for Languages and Translation and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, both completed between 2012 and 2017.
