Anastasia Grekova is currently a Predoctoral Fellow in the Bork Group at EMBL since August 2023, focusing on studying mobile genetic elements in planetary microbiomes using AI. Previous experience includes a position as a Studentische Hilfskraft at Deutsches Herzzentrum München since December 2020, various roles at Helmholtz Munich from October 2021 to September 2023, and working as a Working Student at CureVac AG from September 2019 to October 2021. Anastasia has also held positions as a Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft and Working Student at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen from June 2018 to October 2020, and as a Student Research Assistant at the Zentrum für Molekularbiologie der Pflanzen from September 2017 to January 2018. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the Technical University of Munich (September 2020 - July 2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Tübingen (2017 - 2020), along with studies at First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov (2015 - 2016).
