Tanvir Ahmed

Tanvir Ahmed is a Doctoral Researcher at Deutsches Primatenzentrum GmbH since October 2023, and has been serving as Principal Investigator for the Phayre's Langur Conservation Initiative in Bangladesh since June 2017. Additionally, Tanvir holds the position of Assistant To The Editors at the Asian Primates Journal and is a member of the IUCN-SSC Primate Specialist Group since July 2019, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts in understanding human-primate interactions. Previous experience includes serving as a Wildlife Biologist at Nature Conservation Management (NACOM) from January 2021 to June 2023, focusing on implementing biodiversity action plans, and a Guest Researcher at Deutsches Primatenzentrum GmbH in 2022. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, both from Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Tanvir also served as President of the Nature Study and Conservation Club during 2017-2018 and has held various roles in research and conservation projects throughout the career.
