Esther Muiruri

Esther Muiruri is an experienced professional in disaster risk management, community resilience, and humanitarian programming. Currently serving as a Project Delegate for the German Red Cross since January 2023, Esther previously contributed strategic leadership to the Local2030 Coalition at the United Nations. With a solid background in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation gained through roles at the Kenya Red Cross and RE:SILIENT, Esther has also held significant positions such as Crisis Response Officer with the British Red Cross and Scientific Researcher at the University of Derby. Esther Muiruri's educational background includes an MSc in Intelligence Security and Disaster Management and a Master of Arts in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi.
