Mary Zhu

Founder & Executive Director at Develop for Good

Mary Zhu has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2017 with their role as Editor in Chief of the Stanford Economics Journal: Comparative Advantage. Mary also served as President of the Stanford Economics Association, where they partnered with the Stanford Economics Department and Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and coordinated the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Economics Competition. In 2019, Mary was an Asset Management Analyst Intern at Fidelity Investments, where they advised senior management on investment decisions. In 2020, Mary was a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a Speaker at TEDxStanford. Mary is also the Founder and Executive Director of Develop for Good, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and a Pear Garage Fellow. In 2021, Mary is an Adobe Research Engineering & HCI Intern.

Mary Zhu has an impressive educational background. Mary started their educational journey at Nashua High School South, graduating as Valedictorian in 2017. Mary then attended Harvard Extension School from 2014-2017, studying Economics and Mathematics. In 2017, they began studying Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at Stanford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2021. Mary then continued their studies at Stanford University, graduating with a Master of Science in Computer Science (Human-Computer Interaction) in 2021. Additionally, Mary has an MBA from The Wharton School.
