Sonja Brown

Sonja Brown currently serves as an Accounting Associate and Administrative Associate at the Development Authority of the North Country since August 2022, managing finance systems and facilitating board meetings. Previous experience includes serving as Membership and Marketing Director at Plattsburgh YMCA, overseeing the membership department, and as Figure Skating Coach/Basic Skills Coordinator at the Skating Club of the Adirondacks, where Sonja managed coaching staff and directed a Basic Skills Program. Additional roles include temporary substitute teacher at Ausable Valley School District, intern positions with the City of Plattsburgh Recreation Department and Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors, and various leadership responsibilities in student organizations and events. Sonja holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, and completed high school at Peru Central School.
