Dr Gaby Magomola

Dr. Gaby Magomola serves as the Executive Chairman of Thamaga Africa Group (Pty) Ltd since January 2000, responsible for overall corporate strategy and management oversight. Currently, Dr. Magomola also holds the position of Deputy Chair at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) and Executive Chair at Thamaga Pipeline Solutions (Pty) Ltd, focusing on pipeline management solutions. Previous roles include ownership and directorship at Summerplace Boutique Hotel, directorship at Global Asset Management, and chairperson of the Gateway Airports Authority. Dr. Magomola has extensive experience in the built and construction industry, having served as Director and Division Head at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. An accomplished banking professional, Dr. Magomola has expertise stemming from roles at Citibank and Barclays Bank, and as CEO of The African Bank.
