Wakìnì Njogu is a communications professional with extensive experience in media, advocacy, and data journalism. Currently serving as a Media Fellow at the African Union and as a Communications Consultant for Development Gateway, Wakìnì has a strong background in researching and addressing issues related to internet freedom and misinformation. Previous roles include Communications & Advocacy Consultant at Internews, Fellowships with Africa Women Journalism Project and the OPTIMA fellowship program, and work as a Data Journalist & Producer at Debunk Media, where Wakìnì highlighted human rights injustices. Educated at Multimedia University of Kenya with a Bachelor of Applied Communication and a Diploma in Mass Communication from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Wakìnì has demonstrated a commitment to advancing media ethics, digital rights, and supporting marginalized communities.
