Pilar Serrano

Pilar is part of the Data Team and based in Ayacucho. She supports humanitarian mapping efforts, validates and improves mapping data for their partners, and helps us scale our machine learning work. Pilar also manages communications for the Ayacucho office, and helps to grow and engage with the OpenStreetMap community in the region.

Before joining Development Seed, Pilar worked on the Mapbox Data and Community Team. She is a Systems Engineer from the San Cristobal de Huamanga National University of the Ayacucho, Peru. In her free time, she is usually playing soccer or biking.
