Dr Sunita Gandhi has an extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Dr Sunita founded DEVI Sansthan in 1992, which aimed to counter poverty in India. Dr Sunita also worked as an Economist at The World Bank from 1988 to 1998, focusing on education policy and development programs. Dr Gandhi is the Founder-Director of Group of City International Schools since 2007, which has successfully established more than 20 branches across India. Dr Sunita served as the Chief Academic Advisor at City Montessori School since 2008, focusing on holistic education. In 2016, they founded the Global Education & Training Institute, which provides comprehensive teacher training programs. Currently, Dr Sunita Gandhi is the Vice Chair of Jan Shikshan Sansthan - India and an Author at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. Additionally, they co-founded the Council for Global Education, promoting a new education framework based on universal values, global understanding, excellence, and service to humanity.
Dr. Sunita Gandhi obtained their doctorate degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge in 1987. Prior to that, they completed their B.Sc. Hons. in Physics from Imperial College, University of London in 1983. In 1980, they completed their A Levels in Physics, Maths, and Applied Maths from Peterborough Technical College, Peterborough, UK. Dr Sunita'ssecondary education includes ICSE from St. Agnes' Loreto and Loreto Convent. Dr Sunita attended City Montessori School in Lucknow until Class V.
