David Bennett has extensive experience in the IoT industry, with a focus on sales and business development. David currently works as the VP of Business Development & Sales at Device Authority, where they help address security concerns for IoT deployments through the use of their KeyScaler platform. Prior to this, David served as the Vice President of Sales at InSkill, where they helped connect critical workers with the skills they need in real-time using the InSkill Network. David also worked as a Sales Executive at ZEDEDA, where they facilitated the deployment of real-time edge apps on any network and hardware. Before that, David was the Director of Worldwide IoT Sales at BSQUARE, leading IoT sales operations globally. David also served as the Global Sales Director - IoT at Wind River, where they contributed to triple-digit pipeline growth by supporting the launch of a new IoT cloud platform. Additionally, David worked as a Technology Sales Representative at Oracle, focusing on the healthcare vertical. Earlier in their career, they held the position of VP of Worldwide Sales at Axeda Corporation, where they played a vital role in various business transitions and helped grow the company from a startup to a global leader in remote service software.

David Bennett completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Duke University between 1975 and 1979. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Policy at Purdue University from 1981 to 1982. Prior to their university education, David attended Brebeuf Preparatory School from 1971 to 1975. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a US Coast Guard Auxiliary OUPV/Six Pack Licensed Captain certification in June 2020, and a Customer Centric Selling certification from CustomerCentric Selling® in September 2009.
