Mike Mortimer

Mike Mortimer has over 27 years of work experience in the scientific field. In 2019, they began working as a Scientist at Dewey Scientific. Prior to this, they worked at Washington State University from 1992 to 2014 as a Research Supervisor in Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. During this time, they studied the symbiotic relationship between the bacterium Rhizobium meliloti and legume plants, and researched oximes, small nitrogen containing organic compounds similar to amino acids. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at CannaSafe as a QAO, where they tested cannabis, cannabis extracts and products for potency, pesticide residues, microbiological contamination and heavy metal concentration.
