Wankyu Lee

Wankyu earned his BA in Chemistry at Cornell University and completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at MIT in the laboratory of JoAnne Stubbe where he studied the radical transport mechanism of ribonucleotide reductase. Afterward, he finished his postdoctoral studies at Pfizer in the Chemical Biology group under Hua Xu and Uthpala Seneviratne. At Pfizer, Wankyu developed chemical tools for understanding enzymatic activities in live cells, interrogated the degradable proteome, and identified protein targets of novel covalent small molecules. Outside the lab, Wankyu is an avid sports enthusiast and likes to play volleyball or golf in his free time.
