Sam Fakhimi is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development, manufacturing operations, and leadership within the medical technology field. Currently serving as Senior Director of R&D at Dexcom since August 2021, Sam leads the Advanced Process Development and Sustaining Engineering efforts. Prior to Dexcom, Sam held the position of Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations Engineering at BD, overseeing a global team of over 150 engineers in the Medication Management Systems division. Sam's career began with various roles at CareFusion/Cardinal Health/BD from 2002 to 2017, progressing from an individual contributor engineer to Senior Director, R&D, with responsibilities encompassing project management, global R&D budgeting, and technical writing. Additional experience includes technical consulting at Widcomm and engineering roles at Motorola, Sony Electronics, and Panasonic.
