Evan Sherman

Evan Sherman is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in engineering and technical roles. Currently serving as a Materials Lab Technician at DEXMAT, responsibilities include assisting in the setup and cleanup of fiber and film production equipment, managing chemical tank levels, and assembling CNT fibers into twisted yarns. Concurrently, as the Finance Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers, Evan focuses on fundraising, raising awareness of NSBE’s mission, and mentoring future engineers. Prior experience includes aerospace propulsion work with the United States Air Force, structural subsea design engineering with Boeing Defense, and mechanical design internship with Boeing, where contributions involved testing materials and optimizing design processes. Evan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and an Associate of Science in Aeronautics from the Community College of the Air Force.
