Nic Humphries is the current CEO of Dext, a cloud software company that uses machine learning to boost productivity for small business customers. Prior to taking on the role of CEO in February 2019, Humphries served as the co-founder and chair of Circl, and as a non executive director for Purplebricks Group PLC.
Under Humphries' leadership, Dext has seen significant growth, trebling the number of users around the world and raising a $73m series C in Jan 2020. Despite the challenges of 2020, Dext has continued to perform well, delivering record NPS, gross margins and customer retention. Humphries has also steered the company through a rebrand from Receipt Bank to Dext, and a move from a single product to a multi-product suite following the acquisition of Xavier Analytics and Greenback.
In April 2021, Dext was sold to Hg capital, providing a 4.4x return to early venture investors.
Nic Humphries attended The Becket Comprehensive in Nottingham before going on to study Philosophy, Politics & Economics at the University of Oxford. Nic then pursued an MBA at Harvard Business School.
