Chris Boyle

Chris Boyle currently serves as a Third Secretary in the Global Ireland Unit of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland, focusing on the development and implementation of the country's sports diplomacy strategy since August 2021. Previously, Chris held the position of Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Latvia, where responsibilities included enhancing bilateral relations and promoting business engagement. Chris's experience also encompasses work as a Third Secretary in EU Policy, covering health, digital markets, and environmental issues. Prior roles include serving as an Administrative Officer in the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform and as a Secretarial Assistant for the Minister for Tourism and Sport, among others. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Government and Politics from University College Cork, completed in 2016.
