Martin Desautels

Martin Desautels is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in international law and finance. Currently serving as Managing Partner at DFDL since July 2002, Martin oversees the firm’s international development across Southeast Asia and heads the Banking & Finance Practice Group. Previously, from August 1999 to June 2002, Martin was a Senior Lawyer at Gide Loyrette Nouel, providing legal support for international projects and advising multinational corporations on significant investments. Martin also served as Special Adviser on Legislative Issues for the Bloc Quebecois in Canada's Federal Parliament from February 1996 to July 1998, focusing on legislative, legal, and international affairs. Academically, Martin holds a Master in Law from The London School of Economics and has obtained degrees in International Law and Administration.
