Chris Gent Mirte

Chris Gent MIRTE is an experienced fleet management professional with a robust background in logistics and automotive operations. Currently serving as the Fleet Manager for the European Equipment Pool at DFDS since June 2021, Chris is responsible for managing fleet levels and enhancing collaboration across international workgroups. Prior to this role, Chris held various positions at Derbyshire County Council and First Bus South Yorkshire, notably as Fleet Operations Manager and Engineering Director, respectively. A significant tenure at UPS from August 2004 to December 2018 involved overseeing automotive operations across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries, managing a team of 200 employees and developing key strategic initiatives. Earlier career experiences include roles at Dixon Carnell Group and Lex Commercials, where Chris focused on aftersales and workshop management. Chris's educational background includes studies at Thorne Grammar School.
