Chitra Radhakrishnan

Chitra Radhakrishnan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of food safety and regulatory affairs. Chitra is currently the Head of Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs at DFI Retail Group since November 2019. Prior to this, they held the same position at General Mills starting from March 2017. At General Mills, they also served as the Quality and Regulatory Manager for Haagen-Dazs in AMEA from August 2015 to March 2017. In addition, they were the Head of Quality and Regulatory Operations for Southeast Asia and Asia Distributor markets from September 2014 to August 2015.

Before joining General Mills, Chitra worked as a Regulatory Manager at Registrar Corp from 2004 to 2014, where they oversaw the company's Singapore and Malaysia office. Chitra has also worked as a Quality Projects Manager at Danone Dumex Sdn Bhd from June 2013 to June 2014, where they implemented various quality initiatives and managed stakeholder communication. Earlier in their career, they served as a Food Safety Consultant at Setsco Services Pte Ltd from December 2004 to October 2011, and as a Manager at SATS Ltd. from August 1993 to December 2000.

Chitra started their career as a Scientific Officer in the Food Licensing department of Singapore's Ministry of the Environment from April 1991 to July 1993. Throughout their work experience, Chitra has demonstrated expertise in food safety, regulatory compliance, quality management, and stakeholder management.

Chitra Radhakrishnan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General from Indiana University Bloomington, where they studied from 1983 to 1986. Chitra then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Food Science and Management at King's College London from 1988 to 1990. No specific start or end dates were provided for their second Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General, also obtained from Indiana University Bloomington.
