Yvonne-Anne Pignolet

Yvonne-Anne Pignolet has extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as Director of Research at DFINITY since January 2019, following roles as Senior Research Manager, Staff Researcher, and Senior Researcher. Prior to this, Yvonne-Anne was a Lecturer at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) from 2013 to August 2020 and held multiple positions including Principal Scientist at ABB Corporate Research from April 2011 to December 2018. Additional experience includes a postdoctoral position at Ben Gurion University, a co-founder/software engineer role at Fybit GmbH, a postdoc at IBM Research, and a PhD student role at ETH Zurich. Yvonne-Anne obtained a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zürich, complemented by an exchange semester at EPFL and a Matura in Latin from Kantonschule Wattwil.
