Ahmed Harbi Elsayed is a researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) in the Marine Perception Department, focusing on projects related to marine sensors, AI, computer vision, and simulations since September 2023. Previously, Ahmed served as a Computer Vision Engineer at Hydromea SA, working on Multicam Deep Visual SLAM for underwater robots as part of a master's thesis, and interned at Laboratoire COSMER, researching Visual/Inertial SLAM techniques for ROVs in collaboration with IFREMER. Ahmed's foundational experience includes positions as an Innovation Hub Engineer and Research Assistant at Nile University, a Robotics Instructor at Innova-Team, and mechanical engineering internships at MCV, Public Transport Alexandria, and Nissan Motors Egypt S.A.E. Ahmed holds two MSc degrees in Marine Intelligent Robotics from Universitat Jaume I and Université de Toulon, and a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Alexandria University.
